PAST PROJECTS

May 2020 - November 2020

This is my Senior Design Project where I was given the opportunity to discuss with the leads over at Borden on an idea that would increase productivity in the transportation of Borden’s milked goods. I collaborated with fellow mechanical and biomedical engineering students to design, test, and create an ergonomic drag hook for Borden with support from both the leads at Borden and my professors at University.  With their guidance, the team learned and completed the engineering project process which included creating a Preliminary Design Review, Work Breakdown Structure, and Critical Design Review amongst other ideas.

September 2019 - December 2019

This is one of few collaborative CAD projects done during my time at the University of Texas at Dallas. This project required a CAD assembly that can functionally move and have each student individually create a part for the assembly. This collaborative project taught each team member the necessity of creating individual parts and being able to communicate effectively in order to bring them into a working assembly. Additionally, the project reviewed our knowledge in creating Bill of Materials and Engineering Drawings.

January 2019 - May 2019

This is my semester long project for Design of Mechanical Systems class where my team needed to learn and apply our knowledge on rotational moment forces to theoretically design a wind turbine that matches the specs required by our professor. This project gave the team insight on the design process of wind turbines as well as knowledge to solve engineering problems when given minimal detail.

October 2019 - October 2019

This is a lab report from my Heat Transfer class at the University of Texas at Dallas. This project required our team to analyze the changing effects of restraints and how it affects air flow and pressure. Through this experiment, the team learned how to operate the cross-flow heat exchanger and understand that the surface area of the restraints will slow air flow.

October 2019 - October 2019

This is a lab report from my Fluid dynamics lab that utilized a fluid friction apparatus to change and control the flow. The assignment given by our professor stated for our team to analyze the pressure lost given flow changes. This project gave me experience using fluid dynamics equipment such as the piezometer and insight on how lab technicians experiment in the Fluids field of engineering.

August 2019 - September 2019

This is one of many lab reports done for my system and controls class. The objective of the lab was to prove the behavior of certain functions in MATLAB and Simulink, then compare them with different constraints. Despite using MATLAB plenty of times in the past, this was the first time I would need to use functions and commands specific to MATLAB. Through these lab reports, I would gain experience with different functions and increase my aptitude with MATLAB and Simulink. In addition, I gained a better understanding of ODEs and State Space equations which was needed to prove certain functions.

September 2018 - December 2018

This is the first collaberative CAD project I've done in Creo Parametric at the University of Texas at Dallas. The main goal of the project was to complete every step of the designing, fabrication, and analyzation process for CAD projects. Through this project, I've gained experience using Creo Parametric and was able to compare and contrast the similarities between different AutoCAD softwares. In addition, I became aware of the tedious design steps needed to complate a CAD project and was able to better prepare myself for future projects.

January 2016 - March 2016

This is one of my first projects at the University of Texas at Dallas where my team would need create simulations in MATLAB to analyze a truss bridge's structure and weak points. The team experimented with different angles of the trusses to compare the effect the changes had on the stress/strain of each joint. This project provided me experience using MATLAB as a programming tool to analyze mechanical projects.
